Hello, my name is Pledge of Honor. I’m a 23-year-old Standardbred gelding, born April 8, 2003, right here in Kentucky. Folks around here just call me the “best boy,” and I wear that title with pride.
My journey brought me to Mane Characters, where I met the horse who would become my absolute best friend in the whole world, Archie (Arch Hanover). We are never far apart. Whether we’re grazing, taking a cool rinse and strolling back to the pasture, or just soaking up the sunshine together, we do it as a pair. I even stick my tongue out in pure contentment on “Tongue-Out Tuesdays”! I may be getting older, but my heart is as young as ever. The sanctuary celebrates my birthdays like a big party, and every day feels like a gift. I have lush pastures, excellent care, and a friendship that makes me feel truly honored. From whatever path led me here to this peaceful retirement, I have found exactly what I needed: safety, joy, and a best friend who makes every sunrise better. This is the life I always hoped for, and I’m living it fully.
